We accept a broad range of insurance carriers. Please call us at 409-744-9800 to inquire if your plan will be accepted.
Many insurance plans have an urgent care co-payment that is significantly less than that charged at the emergency department.
Please contact your insurance company for specific benefit information for your insurance plan.
We bill the vast majority of insurance companies directly following your visit; however, payment of the insurance co-payment is required at the time of the visit.
All major credit cards are accepted and we accept checks.

What to bring

•  Driving license or photo ID
•  Insurance card (if you have insurance)
•  Credit card, check, or cash for the co-pay or visit fee
•  A list of your medications or the medications themselves
•  Minors require the written consent of a legal guardian prior to evaluation

Sign-In

On arriving at the Clinic please sign-in at the front desk. New patients will then be asked to review our  Privacy Practices and to complete the three forms below. Existing patients who have not been seen at the clinic for over one year, or who have new insurance or a new address, will also be required to complete these forms.


Post Visit Care

West Isle Urgent Care is committed to ensuring continuity of care.  

We provide all patients with discharge and follow-up instructions; these also serve to communicate treatment and diagnoses to the patient’s primary care physician.

Our physicians work with a variety of specialty physicians and are able to recommend referral physicians when needed. If you do not have a primary care physician we can provide recommendations of local physicians who are currently taking new patients.

  2. Protected Health Information Form  This form provides us with your authorization as to how we may
    contact you with any relevant follow-up information (such as laboratory results)
  3. Acknowledgement of Receipt of Privacy Practices From (Notice of Privacy Practices)

After completing the forms our receptionist will:
•  Photocopy your insurance card;
•  Photocopy your driving license; and,
•  Collect your urgent care co-pay

Following sign-in your visit will consist of:

  1. Triage. An enquiry into the reason for your visit, review of your medical history and assessment of your vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate etc.)
  2. Physician Evaluation. Carried out by one of our Board Certified Physicians or our nurse practitioner/physician assistant.
  3. Discharge Instructions. You will be provided with information noting the findings from your visit, the physician’s treatment recommendations, and follow-up instructions. You will receive a copy of these instructions to show to your primary care physician. You will receive prescriptions for any medications prescribed on discharge, or they will be sent to the CVS or Walgreen on nearby (61st Street).

If you have a true emergency, such as severe chest pain, stroke, major injuries, etc. call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room
