It has 7 private evaluation rooms, X-Ray, CT Scan, Ultrasound, and laboratory testing, and is therefore well equipped to evaluate a full range of urgent care conditions. Dr. Zompa graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology. He then obtained a Masters Degree in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Following this he was accepted into the MD/PhD combined degree program at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He graduated in 1998 having completed a PhD in neuroscience where his research studied spinal cord injury and regeneration. In 2001 Dr. Zompa completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Hermann Hospital. In 2002 Dr Zompa received his Board Certification in Emergency Medicine and was elected a fellow of the College of Emergency Physicians. As the son of an Air Force pilot he has had life long interest and experience with flying. After his fathers death in 2001 he obtained his pilots license and took possession of his father's prized Beechcraft Bonanza, which he now flies regularly. In 2004 he was designated an aviation medical examiner, and in 2006 a senior aviation medical examiner. His goal is to keep his pilot patients flying.
